Have you seen Floortje Dessing's latest programme yet? Are you also marvelling at the beautiful images of Netflix Human Playground? Fancy an internship that is literally and figuratively boundless? At Scenery, we produce high-end documentaries and non-scripted formats for platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV+, Videoland and NPO. We are looking for driven and inquisitive students who want to gain their first work experience in film and television at a high and international level.
What will you do?
DESKRESEARCH: conduct research for upcoming projects/shoots and summarise your finds in an orderly manner. This could range, for example, from searching for different interesting directors who could fit the upcoming documentary to searching for relevant literature. You will also search for relevant archival material and keep this in an orderly manner.
CONTACT: Contacting relevant characters, finding the right stories that fit the project and knowing how to inject creativity into them.
CREATIVE: Thinking creatively at editorial meetings for current or upcoming projects.
COMMUNICATE: Communicating with various creative people and assisting where necessary (editor, director, producer, researcher, etc.).
Do you recognise yourself in this profile?
- Someone with full-time availability of 4-5 days a week.
- You can start in July 2024 for a minimum of 4 months.
- WO/HBO education in journalism/communication studies/... or other media related fields.
- An inquisitive, proactive and independent person who is not afraid of a challenge or to pick up the phone.
- Mastery of the Dutch and English languages.
- Good contact and communication skills.

ASSIST: assisting national and international shoots and supporting producers and office managers.
RESEARCH: conducting research for upcoming or ongoing shoots (e.g. searching for shoot locations or necessary material).
ARCHIVE: Looking for relevant archive material and maintaining it in an orderly manner.
ADMINISTRATIVE: Various daily administrative tasks including mailing etc, call sheets, scheduling.
COMMUNICATE: Communicating with various creative people and assisting where necessary (editor, director, producer, etc.).
